Anomalous History

June 14th, 2008

Historians and Egyptologists in particular, would have us believe that prior to approximately 5000 years ago man was a hunter/gatherer with very little, if any, civilization. Then lo and behold: man decided to build huge stone edifices that we would be hard pressed to build today. Then they would have us believe that within a period of a few hundred years, man would blithely forget all his wondrous knowledge and skills (that suddenly appeared out of nowhere) and reverted to little more than savages once again.

For example: the two hundred ton blocks used for the core of the Valley Temple at Giza are geologically identical to/and are the blocks that were removed from the enclosure surrounding the Sphinx. The body of the Sphinx and those core blocks of the Valley Temple show weathering that could ONLY have been caused by thousands of years of frequent, heavy rain, the likes of which have not been seen at Giza prior to around 7000 BC, at which time the Sahara Desert started to come into being. For three to eight thousand years prior to this the Giza plateau was a land lush with plant and animal life, and frequent rains. Remember that during this time period the last Ice Age came to an end during the age of Leo.

Ancient Maps

One of the subjects that have fascinated me for years is that of the ancient maps. There are several maps drawn during the 14- and 1500’s A.D. Those maps drawn by Piri Reis, Oronteus Finaeus, Gerard Kremer (a.k.a. Mercator), and later, Philippe Buache, show an Antarctica that is completely or nearly ice free. They are apparently based on much older maps that have since been lost.

Even if you choose to ignore the fact that those maps, drawn 500+ years ago show Antarctica’s’ coastlines, mountain ranges and other features that are now covered by a mile or more of ice, how can you ignore the core samples taken from the bed of the Ross Sea in 1949 that show stratification layers that could only have been laid down by rivers carrying sediment into the sea? Those rivers have been shown to have been flowing as recently as 6000 years ago by Dr. W. D. Urry’s ionium dating method, used by researchers at Washington DC’s Carnegie Institute. The tests also showed that glacial deposition of sediments didn’t begin until around 4000BC.

As little as twenty years ago, it was thought that the melting of the polar ice caps would take millennia, now we know that as little as a couple of centuries (or less) may be all that is necessary.

In the 1800’s geologists mainly thought in thousands of years while today they think in millions and billions of years. It seems almost impossible for them to any longer conceive of geologic processes that may happen quickly, as in hundreds or thousands of years.

Generally in science, when evidence contradicts “known” facts, the process is to do the science, meaning the research to absolutely prove or disprove the contradiction. Instead, today the anomalous results are blown off because they do not mesh with the accepted theories. You need only examine the work of Egyptologists, among others, to see this in action.

Introduction

My name is Alan L Baughman. I will be carryin’ on about my thoughts regarding the Mars, Earth, Lunar, Egyptian and other enigmas and anomalies as well as my thoughts on alleged conspiracies concerning those subjects. Fair warning!!!! I am not and do not claim to be a scientist, nor a writer, though I can say that I have been interested in science all my life and have done extensive reading and study in a number of disciplines, most notably: Astronomy, Geology, Egyptology, Physics, Paleontology, as well as more esoteric subjects such as Ufology, etc.
